Mechanics

The MYX Moves Street Dance Competition is MYX music channel’s flagship event where the strongest contenders of high school dance crews in Mega Manila battle it out for the top spot. It consists of 3 divisions: ALL-GIRLS, ALL-BOYS, and CO-ED; and 4 rounds: ELIMINATIONS (online), SEMIFINALS, DIVISION FINALS, and GRAND FINALS.

This year, MYX, in partnership with StarMusic, will be producing an album of original dance tracks to be used by the contestants for the competition. For the longest time, MYX has been an incessant advocate and supporter of original Filipino music, and so we tapped on our aspiring local music producers as a way of promoting their craft. The production of original music also promises to garner a wider reach through more online presence, without worry of copyright issues.
